What Mosey is

Mosey is a record-keeping app for shared expenses. You enter what was spent and who it was for, and Mosey works out who owes whom.

Your responsibility for accuracy

Everything Mosey calculates is derived from what you and your group enter. We take care to get the arithmetic right, and Mosey shows its working so you can check it. But we cannot verify that an expense was real, that an amount was correct, or that a receipt was read accurately — particularly where a receipt was scanned automatically. Check figures before you rely on them, especially before settling up.

Accounts

Most of Mosey works with no account at all. If you create one, you are responsible for the email address you use and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@splitwithmosey.com if you think someone else has access to it.

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your cloud data, including groups you own — which removes them for the other people in those groups too. It does not refund purchases.

Purchases

Mosey has two one-time purchases and no subscriptions:

• Group Upgrade unlocks Pro features for one specific group. It can be purchased separately for as many groups as you like.
• Mosey Premium unlocks Pro features across every group you own, once.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s terms and using Apple’s payment methods. We never see or handle your card details. Prices are set per territory by Apple and shown in your local currency before you buy.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a refund is granted, the corresponding Pro features stop working.

The free tier

The features that were free in Mosey on 26 May 2026 will stay free. New features may be paid, but we will not take away something that was already free and put it behind a purchase. This commitment is set out in the Promise page inside the app.

What you may not do

• Use Mosey for anything unlawful, or to record or facilitate unlawful transactions.
• Upload content you have no right to share, or anyone else’s personal information without a proper basis for doing so.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent access controls in the app, our servers, or our purchase verification.
• Use automated means to extract data from Mosey’s services at scale.

Share links

Mosey lets you create links that show a group’s balances, or a bill, to people without the app. Anyone holding the link can view it. These pages are not indexed by search engines, but they are not password-protected either — treat a share link as you would the information on it, and revoke it in the app when it is no longer needed.

Availability

We aim to keep Mosey working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features that depend on the internet — sync, sharing, receipt scanning, live exchange rates — may be unavailable at times. Your local data remains on your device and Mosey keeps working offline.

Liability

Mosey is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for financial loss arising from figures you entered, decisions you made using Mosey, or payments you made through another provider. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for Mosey.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will say so in the app rather than quietly amending this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
